Catholics for Abolition in North Carolina (CANC) invites you to a Cities for Life event in Raleigh on Thursday, November 30th. This annual international day commemorates the first abolition of the death penalty by a European state over 230 years ago. CANC is proud to be adding Raleigh to the growing list of 2,500+ cities observing this momentous occasion, as we unite to say “No” to the death penalty and “Yes!” to a culture of life.

What to Expect:

1. State & National Abolitionist Speakers;

2. Nationally-travelled Photo Exhibit – Timeline of an Execution;

3. A chance to send a postcard to NC Governor, Roy Cooper, expressing your opposition to capital punishment;
