SUMMARY:Day of Execution - Divine Mercy Chaplet Vigil for the Soul of Jamaal Howard (TX) and for the Soul of his Victim
DESCRIPTION:Please join with CANC members & friends as we gather via Zoom to pray for the soul of Jamaal Howard who will be executed this day in Texas. We will also pray for the soul of his victim\, Vickie Swartout. \n\n\n\nYou may request the Zoom link through our website’s Contact Page. The prayers of the Chaplet will be attached to that email and are said using a regular Catholic rosary. If you are unable to pray with us online\, the Chaplet’s prayers can be found on our Prayer Page\, under Who We Are. Newcomers are always welcome to join us in this spiritual act of mercy.

SUMMARY:WORLD DAY AGAINST the DEATH PENALTY on October 10th | Join Catholics for Abolition in NC for Prayer and Peaceful Protest in Raleigh
DESCRIPTION:This year’s Annual WDADP falls on a Saturday\, so we’re changing our protest time and focus. Meet us outside Central Prison\, starting at 10:30AM till 11:30AM. For those interested\, a group will gather to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet for the souls of the men executed at Central Prison\, since 1984 up to 2006. We will read each of the 43 names. \n\n\n\nBring a homemade sign or you can borrow one of ours! This is a family-friendly event. Parking is available at Dix Park. To enter\, turn onto Hunt Drive\, directly across from Central Prison at the traffic light. There’s a crosswalk\, but it has a quick timer. For those who may struggle getting across Western Blvd\, you can park along the streets within Boylan Heights\, the neighborhood just past the prison. \n\n\n\nFor questions or more information: director@catholicsforabolitionnc.org If you would like to RSVP that you’ll be attending (only please)\, feel free to do so. Bring a friend – everyone is welcome!
