Who We Are

Who We Are

We are a grassroots movement of Catholics
from the Diocese of Raleigh, NC.
Founded in early 2022,
we wholeheartedly add our voices to those of the
NC Coalition for Alternatives to the Death Penalty.

We will do so through
prayer, education, contacting public officials,
and pastoral care
for those on death row as well as for abolitionists.

We will work until capital punishment is a sad memory
in the history of North Carolina;
then we will uphold others still in the fight,
until the Death Rows around the nation
are closed permanently.

We volunteer our time and talent
to act as the Hands and Feet
of our Lord, Jesus Christ,
in union with the Father, through the Holy Spirit.
We strive to live out the Gospel message
that we are to love our enemies
and do good to those who harm us.

Our members are children of God,
formed in God’s own Image and Likeness –
no more and no less
than those whose lives we work to save on
Death Row.
