Catholics for Abolition in North Carolina
Redemption is Possible. Abolish the Death Penalty.
Catholics for Abolition in North Carolina will again be standing outside Central Prison in solidarity, with those on Death Row in downtown Raleigh, around our nation, and the world, from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. ALL ARE WELCOME to join us in Prayer and Peaceful Protest.
Schedule of CANC Events:
4:30 – Recitation of the Rosary (near the train trestle) with Deacon Josh
5:00 – Peaceful Protest – Bring a Sign Commemorating WDADP and/or Abolition
5:30 – Divine Mercy Chaplet (said for the souls of those executed at Central Prison)
6:00 – Closing Thoughts by Margaret Toman
Please sign up here to let us know you’ll be attending. Come be a part of demonstrating your opposition to the death penalty. Mark your calendar to join with Catholics in the Raleigh Diocese and with other sisters and brothers of faith. Come early if you can, as Deacon Joshua Klickman leads the Rosary; stay till the end as we hear from Margaret Toman, a member of the Monday demonstrators who has faithfully stood watch outside Central Prison for 17+ years.
